How does the HELBO® laser work?
The HELBO® TheraLite laser is a lightweight diode laser that activates the HELBO® Blue photosensitizer dye. Once activated, the dye produces reactive oxygen molecules that selectively destroy harmful bacteria in periodontal pockets, around implants and in surgical sites. The process is non-thermal, so it kills bacteria effectively without harming surrounding tissues.
