James Coupe qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1998 and has worked in Private practice on the South Coast for the last 25 years. He began placing implants in 2002 after postgraduate training at the Eastman and continued his implant education with Maria Hardman who introduced him to the Fast and Fixed system and concepts. Over the last few years James has worked with Christian Coachman and Digital Smile Design techniques which he has integrated into his implant treatments.

John opened John Davies Dental Laboratories in 2002.

Prior to opening the lab he worked in South Africa. When he moved to the UK he began work in Harley Street and stayed there for five and a half years.  He then became manager of a large lab, based near Newbury and this led him to begin his own business. He currently works alongside forty practices in the UK.

John holds a National Higher Diploma in Dental Technology. Additionally, he is certified in orthodontics, crown and bridge, cobalt chrome frameworks, implant work, removable prosthetics, and Cad Cam.

In his daily work, he uses Exocad based software for the digital workflow and coDiagnostiX implant planning from Straumann or bredent. His largest investment was a Cad Cam set up consisting of two milling machines, software, and a scanner.

John regularly attends courses as well as keeping up to date with new technology, trends, and techniques. The mission statement for the lab is always to do the best they can.  ‘Okay’ is not good enough.

SKY Prosthetics and Restorative Options

After finishing his education in Heidelberg/Germany, Christoph had the possibility to increase his experience and personal skills in several dental laboratories in Germany.

After his master examination at the dental education center in Karlsruhe in 1998, he opened his own business in Heidelberg. Focusing primarily on implant retained prosthetics, full ceramics, gnathology, function and high-end aesthetics.

In 2006 he completed the curriculum of the Institute of dental Implantology (IZI) in Limburg a. d. Lahn, receiving certification as an implant prosthetic specialist.

From 2007 on, Christoph additionally worked as lecturer, e.g., for Dentsply Friadent.

The focus of those lectures was: “team approach in the collaboration between dentist and technician”, “virtual implant surgery” and the publication of case documentations from the surgery to the finishing of the prosthetics.

In 2012 he began working for the bredent group as a trainer and lecturer for the technical courses such as e.g. “high precision metal casting technique”, “visio.lign veneering system” and “BioHPP”. Since 2012 Christoph has held technical hands-on courses and lectures in Egypt, Italy, France, Luxembourg, Spain, Nepal, Romania, India, Singapore, Indonesia, China, UK, Taiwan, Cambodia, Turkey, Russia, Israel, US, Greece, Lithonia, Sweden, Belgium, Ukraine and in the central Asia.
