breCAM.splint is a chemoplastic PMMA specially designed for the manufacture of long-term temporary restorations, drill templates, table tops and bite splints and can also be used for the metal casting technique in addition to direct application due to its ability to be burnt out.
Industrial polymerisation is completed in a homogeneous and linear manner when using a blank. The subsequent shaping by means of cutting takes place as “cold shaping” so that tensions in the splint cannot develop and the splints manufactured in this way lead to a more comfortable feeling when worn and acceptance by patients.
In comparison to thermoplastic PMMA, chemoplastic PMMAs have the significant advantage that they can be processed simply and quickly, both wet and dry, without the use of special tools or cutting templates. The cutting machining of thermoplastics is much more complex.
